In this article the status quo, advantages, Characteristics and problems existing in the reasearch and development of innovetive Chinese medicines of No.1 category in recent years in China is explored by the way of reviewing and analyzing the appraisal of the materials concerning innovative Chinese medicines, which the State Administration of Food and Medicine has appraised in the last two years.
