ProteinChip Mass Spectrometry （PCMS） is an innovative technology, with a fine application perspective for diagnosing tumors at their early stage. The clinically ready technology is making its headway into diverse application areas. Traditional Chinese Medicine （TCM） has made numerous research accomplishments in recent years, though riddled with many other difficulties, including the objective TCM diagnosis, and sorting out the effective ingredients and useful functions of Chinese materia medica and prescriptions. Apparently, new technologies are needed to address these difficulties. PCMS is desirable for TCM applications, as the former is designed to work for a complex system, such as TCM. In this context, PCMS creates a fine application perspective for TCM research.
