Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is an ancient science, but with cutting- edge thinking. It belongs to neither natural science nor social science. It is a science combining both natural science and social science, with well- developed thinking. Clinical practices of TCM, with a history of several thousand years, constitute the basis of TCM as a holistic science. As a traditional heritage, however, TCM lacks logical examination. Mathematics of Yin-Yang and Five Phases makes up exactly what it missed. Mathematics of Yin-Yang and Five Phases not only makes a method with strict mathematical evidences for TCM treatment, but is also a process able to verify and deduct the classical prescriptions of TCM. It can be a new approach that helps to herald a revolutionary change in TCM.
