The paper summarizes the advances achieved in pharmacological studies and clinical applications of L. rotate, a traditional Tibetan herb, and associated preparations, which results in a proposed direction for future researches. It is believed that the herb is useful, promising a perspective for potentials. In addition, it cautions that further studies are needed to sort out its effective ingredients and associated therapeutic effects, in particular, an analgesic effect.
