Formula is a complicated system reflecting the affluence of medicinal knowledge. Study of categorized formula is an approach to know how to make a prescription and associated treatment according to differed syndromes. A categorized formula contains series of formulae having similar herbal components for desired functions. Such a study focuses on the basics of similarities, and comparison of differences to embody TCM prescription theory. It benefits clinical applications, and presents improved formulae for patients.
