Objective To study the total flavonoid content in flowers,stems and leaves of Trollius chinensis Bge. in BaShang at different picked times. METHODS Using rutin as a reference substance,the total flavonoid in flowers,stems and leaves at different picked times were determined by UV absorption . RESULTS The maximum content of flowers in BaShang was 8.459%,the minimum content was 5.139%,while there is a 3.32% discrepancy between them, and the average was 6.939%;The content discrepancy of the total flavonoid content in flowers(2006 and 2007) was only 0.43%;The maximum content of stems and leaves was 6.511%,which appeared in the the middle ten-day of June. CONCLUSION The total flavonoid content in flowers of BaShang is high and has a steady quality .The stems and leaves can be used as a new officinal part.The best picked time in Weichang is the middle ten-day of June.
