临床观察发现，患者的五味偏嗜、汤药口感与方证对应程度之间存在某种联系。根据其五味偏嗜情况可以间接判断方证，根据汤药口感情况可以判断方证对应程度。汤药口感较好可能提示方证对应，汤药口感从好变差时可能提示方证从对应变为不对应，汤药口感差可能提示方证不对应。

The clinical observation showed that a certain relationship exists between the partiality of five tastes, the taste of decoctions and the correspongding degree of formulae to syndromes. The formula correctness may be indirectly judged by the partiality of five tastes,and the corresponding degree of formulae to syndromes may be indicated by the taste of decoctions in patients. A better taste of decoctions may indicate a higher correspongding degree. When the taste of decoction changes from excellent to bad, the correspongding degree goes down. The worse taste suggests that the formula does not correspond to the syndrome at all.
