中药资源是中医药的源头和基础，在中药资源研究领域存在着很多亟待解决的问题。而转化医学是近年来国际医学健康领域出现的一种新概念，它在研究策略、研究方向、研究手段等方面与中药资源研究具有相似的特征。本文对中药资源的重要性和研究现状进行了分析，并结合转化医学理念、技术、方法提出有望取得突破的研究领域。

Chinese medicinal resources are the source and basis of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). However, the existed problems in this area need to be solved urgently. Transitional medicine is a new concept in the international medicine and healthcare field. Transitional medicine shares similar features with Chinese medicinal resources on aspects, such as research strategies, directions and methods. The importance of Chinese medicinal resources and the research status were analyzed in this article. The suggestion of combining transitional medicine with Chinese medicinal resources is promising to make breakthrough in the mechanism study of genuine medicinal materials formation as well as the molecular breeding of Chinese Materia Medica research.
