牛膝味甘微酸，性微温，原为补益之品，而善引气血下行，是以用药其下行者。中药配伍牛膝治疗缺血性脑卒中的研究表明，牛膝具有抗动脉粥样硬化、抵抗血栓的形成、扩张血管、消除水肿，还能对神经细胞进行保护作用。牛膝“引药下行”可能引起药物有效成分的作用趋向发生改变，是否有利于缺血性脑卒中疾病的治疗，牛膝在治疗缺血性脑卒中中药复方配伍应用的合理性及其作用机制有待深入研究。本文结合文献与实验室研究工作，对治疗缺血性脑卒中中药复方取舍怀牛膝组方的合理性以及牛膝“性善下行”科学内涵的研究思路与方法进行探讨。

Achyranthes root is sweet and slight sour in flavor with warm property. It is originally a product for nourishment. Achyranthes root is effective in leading medicine effect downward. Study on the treatment of ischemicstroke by Chinese medicine with Achyranthes root had shown that Achyranthes root not only has effects of antiatherosclerosis, antithrombosis, vasodilation, detumescence, but also has protective effects on neuron cells. The feature of leading medicine effect downward in Achyranthes root may change the trend of active ingredients. Further study should be conducted on the application rationality and mechanism of Achyranthes root in Chinese medicine treatment of ischemic stroke disease. This article studied on the rationality of Chinese medicine treatment of is chemic stroke combined with or without Achyranthes root on the basis of literature and laboratory research. Research ideas and methods were also discussed on the scientific content of leading medicine effect downward feature of Achyranthes root.
