脑细胞间液（BIF）存在于脑神经元之间，其中包涵进入脑内的药物与释放到突触间隙的内源性物质，是研究脑保护药物靶向作用机制的理想载体。基于微透析技术，并借鉴血清药理学的方法，本课题组提出了脑细胞间液药理学的概念，分析了其应用于中药复方研究中的优势和存在的问题，为脑保护中药的研究提供了创新的思路和方法。

Brain interstitial fluid (BIF) is biological matrix of cerebral neurons. Medicine composition permeated into the brain and endogenous substances released into synaptic space are available in BIF, which make it an ideal vehicle for research on drug targeting and efficacious mechanism of neuroprotective medicine. Based on microdialysis sampling technique, BIF can be used in not only in vivo study but also in vitro experiments. On the basis of serum pharmacology, the conception of BIF pharmacology was proposed by our team. This article also discussed the feasibility and advantage of BIF pharmacology application in Chinese medicine prescription. This new mode of study is a creative attempt facilitating the international orientation of Chinese medicine.
